Snap Into A SlimJEN: Tips & Tricks to Becoming a Butterfly

Summer 2015 also known as my 100 days of summer butterfly transformation. As of this morning, I have lost 23.5 pounds! 40 days down, 26.5 pounds left and only 60 days to do it in! I've been recently asked, "What program am I doing?" Well, the truth is...the program I am doing is LIFE! I've made some dramatic changes within my life in the past 40 days that has helped me with the weight and here are the changes.


  1. Drink 10 glasses of water a day
  2. No fast food
  3. No alcohol 
  4. No bread
  5. No red meat (personal preference) 
  6. No canned food 
  7. Stay at or under 1400 calories
    1. Eat foods like apples, greek yogurt, matcha, eggs, kale, chicken, salmon, fresh fruit. 
  8. Take my thyroid medication everyday
  9. Take Iron, Biotin, Fish Oil, and a Multivitamin everyday
  10. Get at least 7 hours of sleep
  11. Work out 3-4 times a week
  12. Log my calories on MyFitnessPal (Jdhumston810)
  13. Surround yourself with positive people
    1. Shout out to my number 1 fitness inspiration Mr. Ian Kallay!! <3 I would not know where I would be today if it wasn't for him. He motivates me just by motivating himself. He is one of the greatest people on the planet and I honestly don't think I can thank him enough for changing my life. 
  14. Allow cheat days
    1. This is extremely important because we all mess up. It is important to let yourself know that it is ok to mess up once or twice. Just don't make a habit of it. 

This 100 day plan is something I made up on my own. I wanted to return to school in the fall as a majestic butterfly, so I've decided to make some life changes. I've decided to not follow a program or guide because those have endings to them and I don't want it to end.
