I Can

I can force a smile, I can force a laugh 

I can force my happiness, along my chosen path 

I can force hard work, and I can cover tears

I can cover my flaws, even after all these years 

I can cover pain, and I can force "okay"

I can cover my weaknesses, going day by day 

I can cover my thoughts, I can hide my cry

I can laugh, joke, spread the love and I can even lie

I can go through struggle, and I experience pain

I am only human, and I've learned to dance in the rain
