Thank you Greek Life

I have been in my sorority for a little over one year and the lessons I have learned will be with me for years to come. Since I quickly approached alumni status, here are just some of the things that I have learned from Greek life.

The most important thing is that no matter what letters you wear, you all share a common bond. Whether you are in a fraternity or sorority...you typically stick up and support other people in Greek life. We all understand what brotherhood and sisterhood means and we'd do anything to support one another. Whether that is for bake sales, bowling events, or even walking in high heels during a 5k.

When I joined Greek Life, I expected sisters. I didn't expect best friends, bridesmaids, panhel sisters, brothers, or a life support. It just kinda happened. For once in my life, I'm absolutely terrified of losing the people in my life. People come and go. Especially in college. But to know I actually have friends that are going to stick around...makes my heart happy.

Going Greek was such a great decision for me personally, but my time is up unfortunately as I am going early alum in my chapter. All in all, Greek life is more than learning sorority songs and recruiting new girls through fun glitter videos. It is all about hard work, leadership, teamwork, bonds, memories and lots of friendships. Go Greek! It changes you.
