You Deserve the Best

I considered myself very privileged to have a guy best friend. 4 of them to be exact. It’s kind of like having a relationship, only a little better at times, because with friends I know with certainty, just as they will always be there for me, I will be there for all 4 of them too. But if having guy best friends, has taught me anything, it’s how I deserve to be treated. Or in fact, how any woman should be treated. So to the person who has ever questioned what they deserve or has settled...this is for you, boo boo.

• You deserve someone who supports you, and encourages you to chase your dreams. 
• You deserve someone who is there for you all the time, not just when they feel like. 
• You deserve someone who wipes your tears away, and doesn’t cause them. Remember, makeup is pricey. Don't ruin it. 
• You deserve someone who just wants to lay there with you in bed, as you contemplate the bigger questions in life. 
• You deserve texts/phone calls answered in the late hours, when you’re fighting with someone, not just some booty call at 2AM. 
• You deserve someone who respects you as a woman, not someone who is using you because you are one. 
• You don’t deserve someone who makes you drive hours just to see them. It’s about meeting the other person half way. And if you get half way and there person isn’t there, instead of walking the same distance to meet them, you’ll be doing yourself a favor if you turn around. 
• You deserve never spending your birthday alone and not having to wish for anything because the reality in which this person has created, is greater than any fairytale. 
• You deserve someone who makes you a better version of yourself, and makes you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. Because you are. You don’t deserve someone who makes you feel like you aren’t good enough. 

Now, if you have gone through the list and that guy doesn't meet those qualifications, honey...he might not be into you. And that's ok! Because most of all you deserve someone who makes you realize, why it never worked out with anyone from your past.
