More than a Number

It today's world, it kinda just seems that we are numbers. Many things that we do in life revolve around a number that classifies us. Ever think about it?

Age: A number that classifies how many years we've been on earth. This doesn't classify how mature or responsible we are!

GPA: Grade Point Average. Having a low GPA doesn't make you any less of a person than anyone else. Just like having a 4.0 doesn't make you any better than anyone else.

Sex Number: This number doesn't determine your value as a person. Any number to be linked to this shouldn't make you any less of a person. But we link it to who we are.

Weight: This number sure as hell has nothing to do with the type of person you are. The number on the scale shouldn't affect how others treat you or how you treat yourself.

There are many examples that I can give. But what I want to get to the bottom of is this. Don't let numbers determine who you are. They are apart of you, but they are not you. You may have a 4.0 in college. But you are not a 4.0. You're a person. Get what I'm saying? This has just been aggravating me lately about all the topics listed above. Treat others how you want to be treated. I don't want to be treated like a number. I'm a human. Treat me with respect like one.
