Ya thirsty??

Today is world water day!! A little late, but still. It has been 5 birthdays that I have been paired up with Charity Water to bring clean water to other countries. The greatest thing? I helped fund a pipe system/tap stand in the Kirurama community in Rwanda. This community now has access to clean and safe drinking water. This tap stand receives its water from a large gravity fed system serving surrounding communities all over the Rulindo district.

The people here, especially women and children, used to walk up to two hours to collect water for their families. And the water wasn't safe to drink and often made people sick.

The Rulindo District Water Board has been working with Water for People, to maintain the water project that I supported to help make possible. So I ask you this. How did you celebrate world water day? It truly blows my mind how it's 2016 and people don't have access to safe and clean drinking water.
